On Day 2 of the State Golf Tournament, the Ravenwood Boys performed at a level that would typically win a championship. Unfortunately for the Raptors, the Farragut Admirals had a better day. Led by individual champion Lance Wilson, the Admirals bested Ravenwood by 11 strokes on day 2 and 12 strokes total for the 2-day event. “When you look at past performances at this tournament, there was a number we felt like we had to shoot. And we shot that number,” Ravenwood coach Teddy Craig said. “Unfortunately, Farragut was just better. I’m proud of our performance, the effort and the score, but we just ran into a buzz saw this week.” Farragut, with a 5 under par day, finished the tournament 7 over par while Runner-up Ravenwood finished at 19 over par.  Ravenwood's total was 16 strokes better than 3rd place Crockett County. Colin Alexander's total of 3 over par for the tournament tied him for 10th place while Raptor teammate Collier Thompson finished tied for 12th with a total of 4 over par.  Other WCS golfers who competed at the tournament include:

T-22 Connor Caparos and Michael Hake (Ravenwood), +8

T-38 Greyson Hurst (Ravenwood), +13

T-41 Troup Wallace (Brentwood), +14

Ty Schmidt (Ravenwood), competed but not eligible for medalist honors

Ravenwood Girls Finish 5th, Franklin's Sophia Dipaolo Ties for 6th

Led by Shelly Jang's T-18 finish (+13), the Ravenwood Girls finished 5th at the Golf State Championship. Hannah Wilson and Emily Nelson tied for 23rd for the Raptors. Sophia Richter also competed for Ravenwood but was not eligible for medalist honors. Sophia Dipaolo, a Franklin High School sophomore, led all WCS golfers. Her total of +4 earned a T-6 finish. Dipaolo shot 1 over par on day 2 of the event to go along with her +3 on the first day of the championships. Kara Carter, of Sullivan South, won the event with an impressive -6 total. She, and runner-up Isabella Van der Biest of Dobyns Bennett, were the only golfers to finish under par for the tournament. Claudette Runk, of Summit High School, tied for 23rd (+16) while Brentwood's Brooke Brummet finished T-41.
