After enduring a delay because of a tornado warning from a strong storm cell Tuesday night in Williamson County, the Summit volleyball team posted a 3-1 District 12-AAA victory on senior night against Ravenwood in Spring Hill. Senior Butler commit Destiny Cherry pounded home 19 kills on .368 hitting and added three blocks in four digs for the Lady Spartans, who stayed unbeaten in league play. Summit improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in district. The Lady Spartans travel to Centennial Thursday. Seniors Rebekah Frey and Emily Jordan each added seven kills for Summit with Frey serving a pair of aces and scooping up a dozen digs, while Jordan chipped in three blocks. Junior Isabella Mason tossed in six kills and four blocks and seniors McKenna Davis (19 digs) and Kelley Williams (16 digs) anchored the defense. Senior Riley Golias led the offense with 40 assists to go with 11 digs and two aces. Tanya Schling recorded eight kills, 10 digs and three aces to lead Ravenwood. Calli Riggs and Kelsie Dawson combined for 11 more kills with Dawson adding four blocks. Kennedy Riggs collected 15 digs and 12 assists and both Bella LePore and Mackenzie Bidwell had 13 digs. The Lady Raptors are 1-2 in district play heading into a Thursday match against Independence in Brentwood. The Lady Eagles defeated Centennial 25-18, 25-15, 25-13 on Tuesday in other district action. No statistics were provided.

Brentwood improved to 9-1 overall and 3-0 in District 12-AAA with a 25-7, 25-11, 25-20 sweep at Page. Eggleston, the Gateway Tire Female Athlete of the Week for last week, produced 17 kills, eight digs and four aces to lead the Lady Bruins. Four other Brentwood players recorded at least five kills, including seven from Mary Oldham and six from Hollye Tate. Dylan Sulcer and Haley Carpenter combined for 35 assists, while Meredith Moody (nine digs) and Sophie Frolich (eight digs) helped lead the defense. The Lady Patriots were led by Kate Horn, Alexa Jackson and Tennyson Gorman, who all tallied four kills. Ellie Woods added eight digs and Macie Amway set 15 assists for Page (0-6, 0-3).

In 12-AAA action this past week, Ravenwood defeated Centennial 3-0 and Indepependecne defetated Page 3-1.  Fariview High School earned a win over Montgomery Central and also went 4-2 to win the sliver bracket in the Coyote Classic at West Creek High School in Clarksville.
